Cleaning of underground drainage/sewage lines and manholes and wet wells has always been a challenging job for the Municipal Authorities due to its involvement and concerns of human life. Municipal Authorities are somewhat relieved with the innovations of high-pressure jetting machines and suction machines by which the chocked drainage/sewage lines can be easily cleaned without having the person to enter into sewage lines keeping their lives always at risk. Even though, as on now, Municipal Authorities are dependent on manpower when it comes to cleaning / de-silting of manholes and is still an unsolved problem. It has become more challenging with the implications of the directives of the Hon’ble supreme court directing all the municipalities to avoid manpower entering into the manholes and wet wells for its cleaning and to explore the possibilities of using mechanized vehicles and equipment for this purpose. Keeping the above facts in mind the Research & Development wing of RG Associates has been able to design and develop advanced and highly innovative machine D-silt. D-Silt is hydraulic operated cum winch Drive De-Silting Grab Bucket System developed on 3 & 4-Wheeler is the ideal solution for cleaning of manholes and wet wells. The machine can easily and effectively collect silt/ sludge from the depth of 20 to 30 feet or more with the help of a lever control without having the person to enter manholes and wet wells. The fully equipped machine is provided with Telescopic Extendable Boom for extended reach, a rear hopper to avoid multiple handling of the sludge, as the sludge can be collected in the rear hopper of the vehicle and can be hydraulically emptied in big containers. Since it is developed on 3 & 4-Wheeler, it can easily move in narrow lanes, roads. It is economical and available at the optimum price.
